- Oil and gasAPI 660 is written for the petroleum and natural gas industries, and TEMA Class R is the class for petroleum and related processing. The reference exchanger is itself a crude exchanger.
- PetrochemicalAPI 660 covers petrochemical service too, and TEMA Class B is the class for chemical process.
- Power generationOwner-operators in power generation are among the companies PlutoHX is built for, with the same design code and standards.
Choosing the class
The TEMA class is part of each design.
Whatever the industry, the TEMA class (R, C, or B) is set in the general options of a design, or parsed from the datasheet, with the design code, ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
